About Us
The Owner. The Crew. The Mission
One Arizona-owned licensed contractor. Zero middlemen. Zero commissioned salesmen.
36 Years in the Arizona Heat
I’ve been turning wrenches and installing HVAC systems in the Valley for over 36 years. I didn’t move here to start a business; I was raised in the dirt and the heat of it. I’m a local kid through and through.
I grew up over near 52nd Street and Oak, going to Orangedale Grade School. My dad was a Phoenix Firefighter at Station 13. I learned early on what it meant to be a public servant and what it meant to work hard for your neighbors. While the firemen ran calls, my childhood was spent hiking the Buttes at Papago Park, catching crawdads down in the canals near 48th and Thomas, and crossing the dry river bottom before Tempe Town Lake ever existed.
In 1990, I went to Gateway Community College to learn the trade, and I learned this business from the trenches up. I sweated in the 140-degree attics, I learned the physics of airflow, and I built my career on one rule: “Do the job right the first time.” For decades, I built a rock-solid local reputation by employing real mechanics, not commissioned salesmen.
The W-2 Crew Standard
Every install is performed by our own in-house W-2 crew — not a random third-party subcontractor bidding your job for the lowest possible fee.
Our installers turn wrenches for a living. They do clean, heavy-duty installs day in and day out under one licensed contractor: Paradise Valley Refrigeration & Heating, LLC.
One roof. One crew. One standard. That is why there is no driveway shakedown — the people swinging the tools have no commission to protect.

The Corporate Broker Trap & Private Equity Firms
There is a quiet invasion happening right now. Massive Wall Street private equity firms have been aggressively buying up local “Mom and Pop” air conditioning companies. They keep the old family name to trick you, but the person who shows up in your driveway is a commissioned salesman in a clean polo shirt.
This creates the ultimate broker trap. When you ask for a “free estimate,” their goal isn’t to give you an honest price; it’s to get a salesman inside your house to push a $20,000 corporate ransom on a complete system replacement.
Can I Buy a New Unit Online?
If you just got a massive quote and are asking yourself, “Can I buy a new unit online?” or wondering exactly what a new unit costs, you shouldn’t have to endure a two-hour driveway shakedown to find out.
I created 48BUYAC.com to put the purchasing power back in your hands. Buying a new AC unit online shouldn’t be a mystery. We offer a transparent, flat-rate menu where you can see the exact new unit cost—including professional installation by our in-house W-2 crews. No middlemen, no equity firm markups, and no salesman commissions. Just 36 years of local mechanical expertise and a straightforward price.
